2007-05-25 10:54:41 UTC

This bug is The NSImageInterlaced, it does nothing!. It was filed on 2007-05-12 at 00:29 PDT.

Summary:

The NSImageInterlaced property never appears in input images, whether or not they are of an interlaceable type, and if they are, whether or not they are interlaced.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Use +[NSBitmapImageRep imageRepWithData:] to slurp a PNG or GIF file, interlaced or not.
  2. Send the image rep the valueForProperty: message, asking for its NSImageInterlaced property.

Expected Results:

You get an NSNumber of either YES or NO.

Actual Results:

You get nil.

Regression:

Unknown.

Notes:

The documentation of NSImageInterlaced says that it is only used on output. I think that it makes sense to also be disclosed in input.
