John Gruber, summarizing an Omni Mouth post:

OmniFocus and iPhone

The latest pre-release alphas of OmniFocus contain a built-in web server providing a web interface – optimized for iPhone – to your OmniFocus data.

I predict there will be a huge explosion in web servers in Mac applications shortly, especially if use of Telekinesis takes off. I wonder how good an idea this is; do you really need 15 web servers on your machine? You already have one or two: Apache, and possibly VoodooPad Pro.

We need somebody to create a system, including an easy GUI setup application (or prefpane), that will easily set up the stock Apache to forward requests to client applications like OmniFocus, so that this proliferation of redundant web servers can be brought to an abrupt end.
